Music as Argument - Stand by Me

Image result for all lower and middle and upper class as one
No matter who anyone is and where they are, at one point they will need someone. The video Mark Johnson created  "Stand by Me", not just impacts the people involved, but the viewers who watch it. He was smart in who he chooses to be the singers and the musicians. He travels the world to show how with one song we can all unite and help one another. He found your average person or the less fortunate in the streets to prove that even those who are broken still have it in them to stand by someone in need. He found the musicians that gave the sense of warmth to invite those who were there as the ones watching. He goes from a simple show from California to around the world from individuals or groups (street performers) using anything they had to play the joy they had while playing it. Some show sadness when you need a person to stand by you and no one is there to fully extend their hands. We can all have our troubles, but it should not break our spirits and feel better when you are there for someone.

Feeling the joy, you give to someone else is worth it all and gives a sense of hope for those who lose it or have lost it as well need it. He uses belief in fairness, love, and kindness. Style influences the viewer’s impression of the information itself. Style includes diction and tone. The main goal in considering his style is in how he presents his view in a manner appropriate for both the audience and the purpose of the creation of his work. Consistency is vital. Aside from individual word choice, the overall tone, and attitude, of his creation is appropriate to the audience and purpose. The tone is objective in logical and emotional, intimate yet distant, and serious. There is some freedom of self-expression while adapting to the audience in the way he uses the musicians and singers to tell his story. The musicians play what’s there and not there, in regarding the message.

The tone of the music as the richness of how it is played does not really need the singing to grasp it. There are two types of testimonies, one is the account of an eyewitness he has. The second is the judgment of viewer who has had the chance to examine and interpret the facts within what he provides. No matter who you are you will need someone by your side. We are all the same and go through similar situations, why go through it alone? The timing and locations he uses in his video show the positive in his message to all and how all can relate to it.

No matter what class you are nor the color of your skin we are all human and can spread one thing which is kindness and care for our neighbors. Unity comes from all coming as one, we can all do one good deed with kindness. Not only through the good times but as the bad times that we all go through. Even if the world is falling (the individual's life is falling), through the trouble (being small or big), sticking there for someone is the best you can do regardless how small or big the help is to you or them. The images that get to me is all really, how he has people that many look down on be so rich in life and joy and always are the first to give a hand to people in need. He uses brotherhood, sticking together, the good/bad, and no matter what to get his point across as the song goes.
It brings joy to help others. "From the award-winning documentary, “Playing For Change: Peace Through Music,” comes “Stand By Me,” the first of many Songs Around The World produced by Playing For Change. This Ben E. King classic features musicians around the world recorded by the Playing For Change team during their travels. This song continues to remind us that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people."

"Doing things for others - whether small, unplanned acts or regular volunteering - is a powerful way to boost our own happiness as well of those around us. The people we help may be strangers, family, friends, colleagues or neighbors. They can be old or young, nearby or far away.
Giving isn't just about money, so you don't need to be rich. Giving to others can be as simple as a single kind word, smile or a thoughtful gesture. It can include giving time, care, skills, thought or attention.

Sometimes these mean as much, if not more, than financial gifts. Scientific studies show that helping others boosts happiness. [1] It increases life satisfaction, provides a sense of meaning, increases feelings of competence, improves our mood and reduced stress. It can help to take our minds off our own troubles too. [2] Kindness towards others is the glue which connects individual happiness with a wider community and societal well-being. Giving to others helps us connect with people and meets one of our basic human needs - relatedness. [3] Kindness and caring also seem to be contagious. When we see someone do something kind or thoughtful, or we are on the receiving end of kindness, it inspires us to be kinder ourselves. [3][4] In this way, kindness spreads from one person to the next, influencing the behavior of people who never saw the original act. Kindness really is the key to creating a happier, more trusting local community. [5]"
